BEYOND BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY

My project explores ways Ornithological knowledge and encounters are encoded in British visual culture through challenging the ideals of commercial wildlife photography. Showing birds hiding, blurry, resting, curious, walking, flitting and doing all that birds do in front of a camera but are rarely promoted in our society's media. All the photos included are from my personal archive.
